Oblivion (Op.6)

Oblivion

Oblivion rises from a point of demand
that none of us can change
the ubiquitous joy of forgetting
the sorrows of life

But what can our brains do but forget
the rabid things our mindless bodies did
the indelible suffering of the mind
on certain moments it is absent

Forgetting is the drug we kept on taking
to stand all of that we endure
where will you go, my dear friend
when even the vicissitudes of oblivion, we forget?
