05-30-08 (brain damage)

Things take time. (Read on. You'll know why.)

Recently, I've been haunted by gruesome news about brain damage (which is an advantage for someone who'll take BS Psychology).. and half of it, I heard from my mom.
Based on a survey (conducted by ADB?), there are 3 classes of call center agents: Technical support (computer services), Out-bound agents (sales and marketing) and In-bound agents (customer feedbcaks).. And according to studies, in-bound agents are primary victims of brain damage.
You know, because of dealing with stubborn and stupid customers, call center agents who receive complaints everyday are more open to this sickness. Hell! Imagine you're parents scolding you almost 30 times in only 8 hours!!
you should check out the PLDT Scandal on YouTube..
And, in addition to those hellish calls, call center agents work during the night. So it creates a personality imbalance. Nightshift workers tend to feel abandoned and different because of their lifestyles. They can't see their families anymore. They can't hang out with their usual friends. They can't even watch afternoon dramas and go shopping anymore! (That's hell!)
So.. isn't it enough to listen to the crappy stuff the world throws at you, that you also need to isolate yourself from the active world..?
I don't know if this is true, but some call centers have this "panic room" where workers can scream, cry, or just stare blankly at nothing so they can relax their brain nerves.. Wow. so creepy.. (I wish there's also Starbucks inside that room.. Plus New Age songs for God's sake!)
These things don't happen in the Philippines only. Most OFW's suffer from brain damage because of homesickness, forced labor and ugly, smelly employers.
I think companies should ALWAYS think about their employees health. Not only physical but more importantly, mental health.. Because apparently, Filipinos will eventually sell their souls and brains just to get more of the "green stuff".
Another story..
I took the ACET Simulation test earlier at LSC. And its hard. It's worse that I came in late.. So I took decades of hard-learned questions for granted. (what a schmuck!) Oh well, I guess I'll study next time. I just can't concentrate on my studies again because my mind's preoccupied with end-of-summer sweets.
..(still under the BRAIN DAMAGE category.)

lets talk random!

Life doesn't teach you something.. You just have to learn from it.

A death threat makes people aware they are alive.

Most people die long before they are buried.

All things are ONE.

The most important language is the one that doesn't use words.

If the world turns its back on you, stab it in the back.

A picture paints a thousand words.. and one word shows billions of pictures.. LOVE.

Chances of immortality opens its doors for you everyday.

I think its more difficult to realize what you want than to achieve it.

Which one is more essential:

Reflection of beauty of Beauty of Reflection..?

Peace of mind or Mind of peace..?

Taste of vengeance or Vengeance of taste..?

Familiarity of pain or Pain of familiarity..?

05-27-08

Read on. You'll know about the logo.
Days go too quickly..

It seems like yesterday that I'm too excited for my UPCAT Review..
Now, The UP Simulation Test was over..
I can't help but realize that my May will be over sooner than I think..

I feel that my summer's cut-off is just around the corner..
Lets talk about books.

I just finished reading THE ALCHEMIST by Paulo Coelho.
Its great.. I mean.... A reader should really grasp the ideas to appreciate it..
And, as I read through its small pages, I can think of countless words of wisdom..

I mean.. Its life-changing. It has a sense of "persuasion" in it to achieve your goals in life..
I've learned many lessons after reading it.. There are lessons that I've learned but not yet realized..

(woah.. its seems like I'm a bit philosophical today!!)

Lets change topic.

I've been here, in my mom's office library since hell broke loose and I've noticed a drastic change in the atmosphere.
A Starbucks Coffee Shop is opening inside.
As I type this blog, I could smell the coffee aroma just few seats behind me.
And, as I realize my Personal Legend, I'm letting myself get closer to colonial mentality, again.

I started thinking, what's with Starbucks anyway..?
Is it because of the soothing aroma of caffeine..? The addictive quality of its coffee,..?
Or the plastic cups with the label on it..?!

I feel this opening of Starbucks here in my mom's library will make me stay away from computers with internet connections. I know more people, especially funny smelling foreigners will barge in this room just to check out this rather "award for social status" bar..
I'm afraid I will be forced to spend my monthly allowance in a single meal. (shucks!)

Hehheheheh! I think I would spare my frustrations about this some other time.. Because writing a blog about Starbucks is worth one whole article, anyway..=)

Lets talk about.. REVIEW!

I just took my UPCAT Simulation Test this morning. And I have a feeling that I will fail that. I just can't concentrate on the test. Why...?!

First, my feet are killing me. Its freezing cold inside our classroom and its a sin to wear flipflops.
Second, Angelo sneezes a lot. (Hahahahhahah!)
Third, I can see through my peripheral vision that my other seatmate, Gab (?), is looking at me. It makes me uneasy. Plus the fact that he's from Xavier School..
Fourth, I was thinking about "baby sweetoo". He's our Korean classmate and he's super adorable. He's cute.. Like a puppy.. And I'm attracted with the way he makes faces when he doesn't understand what our teacher is talking about. Its just amazing, to see something beautiful that cannot understand a simple thing.

Oh well, I guess I've learned enough.. (or I was given enough lessons to learn by myself..).
My review will be over on May 30..
To that, I have less than 2 weeks to rest and prepare for school..

School.. school.. That reminds me..
That reminds me of my unfinished business.. I will see THEM again.. I will see HIM again.. I will see HER again..
Oh, this topic deserves a whole blog entry too!

To those SUPER SPECIAL PEOPLE who have been waiting for their photos here during my bday party, relax.. I haven't uploaded them yet..=)

Leave a message!

16 Stuff I want for my 16th Birthday

Well.. Here's to show you my dreams.. now that I'm 16.. wahahahahahahha!

The LOTR Two Towers novel.

I've always wanted a turtle.. As cute as this. Just to keep it alive, I would buy an aquarium/terrarium for it..

Its not the food. its the ref. We had this old ref for centuries now and our growing family MUST buy a new and bigger one.

This is a super duper high-tech car.. Like extreme Pimp-my-Ride..! Well, I know I still can't drive... But I want this high-tech car for my family.. So we won't be rushing when going to Mandaluyong.. hahahhahah! And like Pim-my-Ride cars.. I want this to have a built-in ref, plasma TV, DVD player, Blaupunkt (?) speakers inside. It must be self-cleaning, too!

Converse. Chuck Taylor. Original. Un-emo.

Hmmmm.. Nice eh..? This is not a permanent thing.. This shows a weekend getaway with my loved ones..

A VIP access in a classic Iron Maiden concert..!

New Computer. Hehehehhehe.. with 500 GB memory space, complete hardware and unlimited internet access.

SHOPPING SPREEEEEEE..!

Plasma TV. Those ones that's so cool, it makes watching Dyesebel more "ETHICAL".

Money. Especially those crispy ones. And they must smell good like they're out of the bank..=)

iPod.

I want Lestat as a gift. And it'll be a miracle to get this one.

A drummer needs drums. And nothing's more satisfying than a Pearl drum set. (Ehem, glow-in-the-dark drumsticks, too!)

A milestone. An achievement. A life. A rebirth. An experience that defines a generation. One word that can change billions of lives.

Isn't this obvious enough..? I want a GUY..! (extra points if he's... *toot*)

A birthday post.

hi!
here in my mom's office again..
Trivia, I've also been here on my birthday last year because I have volleyball training.. And I spent my time waiting for my mom in the office with my brothers but she didn't allow me to go shopping..

So I cried. I told my mom that was my worst birthday ever.
Like, who would even think about spending one's birthday on his/her mom's office..?!

Ummm, but now, its kinda OK..
I admit I really enjoy this day (so far..)
But I'm still crying..
That's because I'm reading Mitch Albom's novel: For one more day..

well, its on the long long list of books that I have to read during vacation..
At first, I'm kinda rushing it because I'm too excited to read Twilight by Stephenie Meyer, which is the next book in line..

But as I read along Albom's novel.. I started crying..
Shet! Pang-mother's day ang dating! Nakaka-iyak talaga!
Nakakahiya lang na ngumawa ngayon dito sa library kasi ang daming nagreresearch na foreigner..
As in, nakaka-iyak tlaga. ang masama pa nito, wala akong dalang panyo. (bakit pa ako magdadala, eh puro air-con ako buong araw..?!)

Hmmm.. Notice the language shift? that's a glimpse of how soul-changing the novel is!

just to add some random spice on my post..

1.) This freezing atmosphere makes me want to pee.

2.) I ate fried chicken, vegetable soup, coleslaw and red gelatin for lunch.

3.) I ate boiled bananas for breakfast.

4.) I ate milk knick knacks and oreos during our review break.

5.) I would like to thank Angelo Romasanta for treating me a Cadbury Fruit and Nut Chocolate worth P44.00 (tax included.)

6.) Instead of my Essential Sciences book, I brought my E-MAT book. (this sucks.)

7.) David vs. David!! who's it gonna be..?

8.) Tumutulo na sipon ko, sa sobrang lamig at kaka-iyak dun sa nobelang iyon. (Angelo, ikaw ang maysala.)

9.) I think our Chemistry teacher earlier in the review balded his hair because of excessive intelligence. Imagine, he is a doctor in profession..?!

10.) I want to buy an iPod for a birthday gift for myself.. because I pity myself for having this "mukhang dinamitang" mp3 (Marc Fajardo) for almost 2 years..

11.) I think I'll spend 3 hours trying to reply all my comments in Friendster.. But don't get me wrong.. Comment me, that's how you're important to me!

12.) Hmmmm.. In a few seconds after I finish this blog, I'm gonna dash to the cafeteria and grab some tissue paper so that I could clear my nose. Shame! Nakaka-iyak tlaga!!

13.) Kapag naging wrestler si Cedric "The Brick", ako magiging manager nya. hahahahhah!

14.) (Yesterday) I saw a brown butterfly stuck on a spider web. I thought I would do this freaky heroic deed and set the butterfly free. So I pulled the butterfly by its wings. But instead of setting it free, I pulled off both its wings. Now I took everything that it has to free itself.

15.) Sa mga naghihintay ng party pics nung May 17.. Hintay lang! ine-edit ko pa!! Ipopost ko rin yan sa blog!! (Humanda kayo..)

16.) 16 na ako!

this is a blog post. nothing more.

OK.. *sigh*

In less than 24 hours, my 2-day early birthday party will start..
And I still don't have plans on what to cook! Shame!

Oh, well.. (Langis ito sa tagalog.) hahahahah!
kung di mo pa alam yung joke na iyon, hindi ka nakakatanggap ng GM ko.

Let's just talk random today.

I still find my habits disturbing to blog about.

Just a little trivia.
The blog entry you're about to read is the 4th one I've done today

1.) maggiore fretta, minore atto (The more haste, the less speed.) - Tom Sawyer

2.) The fastest way to get somewhere is a straight line.

3.) We are all slaves of our own.

4.) If not, ENSLAVE YOURSELF.

5.) FEEL something new.

6.) There's more glory in being the first to try something than being the first to prevent someone from trying something.

7.) You have to let go of the past so you can have a future. - Ice Age 2

8.) Leaves and petals of a flower took the shape of the tears of rain that watered them.

9.) A tree watered with tears will bear salty fruits.

10.) The spotlight's on everyone during the morning.

11.) DAVID vs. DAVID. Shucks. its hard to choose!!

12.) I wanna read this Oscar Wilde novel but I can't find any book without Oscar Wilde plays with it!

13.) I still have 20+ books to read. Shame.

14.) The Sun signal here in my mom's office library is so low.

15.) Do something about climate change. Eat your ice creams.

16.) I'm turning 16 on May 19..!!!

wahahahhahahahhaha! Sorry. This post is nonsense, I admit.
I promise I would do better next time!

Anyway, I gotta go.. I need to paint my portrait and cast a spell on it. (A clue on the novel I want to read.)

LSC Review Classes.

Well, this is pretty interesting to blog right now..
Because it's what I'm busy doing this month.. hahahahahha!
And it happens every damn day.. For someone like me who wants to know new things, review classes is not the thing.

It seems pretty clear that I'm bored.. right..?
One reason is that I don't get to socialize with my review-mates.. I'm stuck with Angelo (well, Angelo's OK, he's good at math.. and he seems to remember how the problems should be done. hahahhahah!)
the whole day and I don't seem to have the courage to approach them..
Hell, how could I do that? Its so bloody just to ask for their names!
spokening dollar!

most of them are from filthy rich private schools. Hell. Me and Angelo felt like shit during classroom arguments and stuff.
Everybody's slang and all that..
And they got higher grades in our English test..
How could we? we're from a public school that teaches relatively poor English compared to those studs!

Anyway, English is only a part of the review.. And I had the most fun there because I learned new words.. hahahahhaha!

We're taking math 3 right now.. and I can still say I'm kinda good at it because it's easy.
but I dread the next math sessions. bloody.

Oh, and I forgot.
Me and Angelo have this favorite reviewmate.
He's from Paranaque National High School (?) and he's the ultimate geek we've ever met.
he wears thick glasses, has thick hair, doesn't talk to someone, reads abusively (ehem.. word power book), asks an awful lot of simple questions and answers them himself.
Maybe I can take his picture.. but I doubt it. I'm too cheap to do such thing if I would only do it to lengthen my resume when I apply for Satan's Angels.

hehehehehehehheheh!
Here's some pics.

The Whiteboard.

The Panic Room. (I took this during our break.)

The Dirty worksheet. (notice the pen? its almost empty because I'm writing a novel.)

But after review classes, I do an awful lot of stuff.
I do this in a amazingly weird sequence every single day and I admit I'm getting sick of it. Well, good thing God still gives me my weekends to interfere with this bloody routine.

This is a Strawberry and Peaches Frappe. it costs 75 pesos. Hahahhahah!
(loved the whip cream!)

bored. want to guess where I took this?

Dyenen! Its in Powerbooks.. In the Children section, the bean-shaped bookshelves! Here, I'm reading my Huck Finn novel.

But, I do multitasking. I disobey rules. I eat Skittles in Powerbooks and I keep it inside my bag.

My mom's office library. not the parlor.

Bored. Vain.

And some important photos you should see.

OK...! I have to go now!
Don't forget to text me if you want my birthday details or musikwela dvd's..!

05-13-06

I'm here.. again in my mom's office library..

its a cliche.. So I think I won't have to say it again in my next blog..

Anyway.. I just dropped by, so you won't miss me..=D

hahahahahah!

I have a lot of things to blog.. and my digicam will soon explode if I don't upload my pictures as soon as possible..

There's my stolen shots of my review lessons, outing in Pampanga and some pictures of my obvious boredom..

hahahahahahh!

Oh, there's one more thing..

my left ear is so painful right now.. I don't know if something's stuck in it but I doubt it.

It started "popping" when I got pushed into that damn dirty swimming pool in Pampanga.

Yeah. my cousin really caught me unprepared. (HOY! RIZZA! humanda ka sa next outing naten!!)

before I forgot..

I will be celebrating my MAY 19 birthday on MAY 17..

So you have to be in Mcdonald's Barangka by 10am..

No. Hell. I won't be having my party in mcdo. Karma may struck me there and send someone to ruin my party like I did to someone.. ahahahahhahah! LOL.

yeah, as I was saying, I can't invite evryone because I can't contact them..

so drop me a line!

0922-8880519

Notice the last 7 digits..?

888 is a special lucky number and 0519 is my birthday.. hahahahahah! LOL!

05-07-08

hey!

I'm here in my mom's office, in the library, specifically..
I'm just enjoying my time here after that dreadful review session in English.

Shame. makes me bleed other's blood.

waaaaa!

especially the logical reasoning stuff.. like is it definitely true, most likely true, most likely false or definitely false..

its so hard..! its like its really necessary to have review lessons for the UPCAT.. I never thought it was...!
anyway, I won't blog about my review.. its gonna ruin my day.

OK. During my weekday afternoons, I'm here in my mom's office library, doing things a geek should do.

like, reading death records of countries that suffered from AIDS and SARS, crying over some environmental problems I've encountered in Al Gore's book.. I mean, it's so devastating.. everybody should be aware of them.. and everybody should do something about them.

and there's a book here about ancient Chinese philosophies and writings. its so amazing and educational. its fun, too! you can see different chinese symbols, paintings and stuff. even their ancient war weapons are there.

yeah. makes me feel I would prefer being colonized by the Asians than Europeans..

just kidding.. anyway, just to make a point, Chinese stuff is breathtaking.

and I've been learning slightly from the Mandarin lessons in the next room. Yeah, there are language lessons here in Asian Development Bank.

Hehehhehe! Its hilarious that most of the students of language classes are old foreigners.

You just have to hear them fiddle-faddle over some easy words.. Hahahhahha!

And I can conclude that many Koreans go here in the Philippines to study English, because the English in temperate Asian countries are awful and sickening.

you will have a glimpse of that when you go here.. the foreigners trying to learn Tagalog and English.. Hilarious in a very positive way..=)

Another pastime, is.. I'm TRYING to write a novel.. Well, its hard.. I've written 7 back-to-back pages so far.. And its really difficult.. especially when I have to write "a process of making love".. Well, making love is necessary in my novel because my characters are mature.. And how can I write a love-making part in my novel if I haven't even tried it...?!

waaaaa! I guess my Anne Rice addiction helped me a lot on that part..=)

Oh, well, I think I just have to sign off now.. I'm sitting next to some foreigner and he smells funny. awfully funny.

Tag.tag.tag. (bwisit ka marc.)

A. People who have been tagged must write their answers on their blog and replace any question they dislike with a new question formulated by themselves. Tag eight people. Those who are tagged cannot refuse.

B. These eight people must state who they were tagged by. You cannot tag the person who tagged you. Continue this game by sending this to eight other people.

----------------------
MY NOTE TO THE READER: changed some of the shittiest questions I've ever heard in my life.. Just kidding! Anyway.. I just want to spend my crappy time because Friendster's down..=(
----------------------

1. If your lover betrayed you, what will you do?

~ hmmmm.. do a blog entry for him, go to church and pray. and spend my precious time with someone WAY MUCH BETTER.

2. What will you do if you do not share the same feelings as the person who likes you?

~ I'll tell him I don't like him, that he deserves someone much better, and hook him up with a girl who has a crush on him. (devastating.)

3. What if question number two was the other way around?

~ just the same.. I'll do an awful blog entry on it, (but never get it published.), and expect him to hook me up on a guy that has a crush on me.. what was I thinking..?!

4. If you were to spend a lifetime on an island with 2 people (fiction or non-fiction), who would they be? (ehem. no relatives allowed.)

~ hmmmmm.. That's kinda easy for me, I'll choose
1) Lestat (The Vampire Chronicles) - Hell, If you know who he is, maybe you'll choose him too.! Because with Lestat, you can fly around without wings, never go hungry again because you can drink blood from animals, take a walk in Hell, mess around with ancient vampires and sing your lungs out. (he's actually a former rock singer)

2) Huckleberry Finn (Mark Twain's character) - a cunning, almost irresistible teenage boy. He can almost get through everything, from murderous mobsters to runaway niggers. He can also find buried treasures and stuff. And he has tremendous sense of humor.. Like I would think Mark Twain's novel would be a good joke book.

Other choices: Papa Jesus, Channing Tatum, Paris Hilton (?)..

5. What`s your ideal partner like?

~ someone who would keep his umbrella if I were to let myself get wet in the rain with him..
~ someone who would burn his eggs if he will cook me breakfast..
~ someone who can satisfy me unthinkable answers if I ask a simple question..
~ someone who can play "the damsel in distress" even though he can defend himself well, just to make me feel I'm strong in a way that I can save his life.
~ someone who loves chocolates and smiles after eating a bunch of them..
~ someone who will stay silent even if I beg him to talk..
~ someone who can finish my sentences..
~ someone who loves video games, music, books, TV shows that display COLONIAL MENTALITY.
~ someone who looks anorexic, but will eat every food I'll cook for him (even if it's burnt rice and longganisa)
~ someone who loves controversy. (ehem, except writers sa tabloids)
~ someone who reads between the lines.. ( ________read______ )
~ someone who's NAUGHTY AND NICE..
~ someone who can let me teach him some things he can't learn in school.
~ SOMEONE WHO WILL READ MY BLOG.

6. Which is more blessed, loving someone or being loved by someone?

~ EHEM, you can't compare blessings. and how will I know the difference of those two if I'm experiencing both? (yabang!!)

7. If the person you like does not accept you, would you continue for them to change their feelings?

~ what? what's with the statement "does not accept you"..? Anyway, How am I suppose to change his feelings..? Its free will, even God can't change that!

8. If the person you like is already attached, what would you do?

~ hmmm. Of course, trying something new won't hurt.. (waaaa!), Just kidding! I mean, my selfishness will cause heartbreaks.. I would just keep my feelings to myself.. or.. blog about it like hell.

9. If the person you like says he/she likes you, and you are attached with someone else, what will you do?

~ how stupid! I wouldn't like someone who can risk friendships and commitments just to have what he wants!! Anyway, I wouldn't "attach" myself to someone whom I don't like best in the first place..

10. What do you want most in your life?

~ Hakuna Matata, Action, Lots of Sleep and Money. but if that question needs one answer, my answer will be, INDIVIDUALITY.

11. Is being tagged fun?

~ yeah.

12. What is the corniest thing you've ever wished for?

~ I don't know, mainly because I wouldn't wish for anything that's not corny anyway..

13. If you were to compare your life with a meal/food, what would it be? (extra points if you can say it like a quotation..)

~ "Ang buhay ko ay parang beef tapa, walang tiyak na hugis at matapang ang lasa, ngunit lalong sumasarap kapag may kasamang suka. "

14. What kind of person do you think the person who tagged you is?

~ bored, brilliant, unpredictable. (sana lang hindi siya makapulot ng Death Note.)

15. Would you rather be single & rich or married & poor?

~ Single and Rich, mainly because I'm not into marriage that much..

16. What would be the most extreme (and possible) thing you could do to get noticed?

~ Oh, you don't wanna know about THAT, do you?! Ako pa!

17. If you were to sacrifice one of your senses (sight, smell, touch, hearing, taste), what would it be?

~ Syet, ang hirap ng naisip kong tanong. hmmmmm.. sight na lang.. hehhehehe.. because looks can be deceiving.. And.. oo nga pala! hindi na ako makakabasa ng libro! hmmmm.. Think, think, think... Smell and taste go together right..? hmmmm.. touch na lang!

18. If you will be given one superpower, what would it be?

~ Control time. because time determines all forces of nature.

19. What types of people do you like?

~ types of people..? May subspecies pa ba tau...? Anyone who can think for themselves, just like a HUMAN does. (exception ako.)

20. If you played a prank on someone, and he or she fell for the trick, what would you do?

~ Cry tears of joy and burst with unspeakable laughter.. And try everything just to keep him/her from knowing that I did it..=)

Its May 1. Labor Day. May Day. Worker's Day. Rally Day. Holi-Day.

I guess the whole nation's taking a break from work (except those in malls..).
And every organization will take this holiday as an opportunity to rave about the same stuff over and over again just to piss off the government.

Well, I guess whatever their agenda may be, it won't be enough to succeed. Because the skies won't allow them. Its been scorching hot during noontime then freaky gloomy later that afternoon.

Lets discuss some styles of "Getting Attention" by our heroes for today's blog, the rallyists!

One is the WALKATHON.
Its just absurd, to think that thousands of workers, mainly farmers, walk from their provinces to Metro Manila just to get attention. I mean, what the ---? Walking is good for one's health and environment. And to think there are thousands of them, its what we call, BONDING TIME in school. Its hard, I know, to walk long distances under the scorching city roads. Oh, that's an understatement. But its costly. Walking long distances takes excessive effort, time, money, props, footwear and sunblock lotion. Need I say more?

The next type of "pagpapapansin" in the government is when rallyists stuff themselves on streetsides, often opposite a government building, shouting with a megaphone. Oftentimes, a crowd behind will shout "oo nga!" after every statement of the megaphone-man. Wow. That's what I call, CLASSIC RALLYING. They cause misery not only to the government but also to motorists, civilians and apparently, to themselves. Its attention, alright. But when you see just 40+ people doing that, its pretty pathetic. Where's the unity? Its not like the government will change the damn old constitution for 40 people!

Another type of rallying agrees with the saying, "Absence makes the heart go fonder". Hmmm.. Still curious..? Just think, there's an obvious difference between "when animals strike" and "when jeepneys strike". Yeah. Strikes. When the workers involved do not get involved. It usually gets a lot of attention. That's why nationwide strikes by some organizations are successful. Think of the benefits. One, they can take a break. Two, no one will get hurt. Three, it will cost them less (or nothing at all.). Its that easy! All they have to do is sit on their fat butts. And.. Voila! The whole nation's getting a hard time doing daily tasks!

The only antagonists in these rallies are the ones we call, KILLJOYS, on the side of the rallyists. And these killjoys multiply during school days. Just take jeepney strikes during school days. They only affect one barangay, for God's sake! They make students hope for nothing! That's sick! Where's the unity?! If you'll do a strike, make sure EVERYBODY will cooperate!

OK, I will be damned if I don't include PRAYER RALLY.
its in the title. People gather in a certain place to pray. They pray for everything even winning on that nights lottery. I don't want to state any opinions on this style of rallying because of my religion and boredom.

Ok, lets skip the other styles in rallying and discuss the more exciting one.
The ones in EDSA or Mendiola. The ones with riots, explosion and free shower!

That's what I call NEAR-DEATH RALLY aka bangayan, kachuvahan, kabonggayan, kaeklabuhan, or simply MALAKING KAGULUHAN..

I love watching the news whenever there's a near-death rally. I mean, everyone will bleed, cry, get beaten by the police using bats and newspapers. Its like an ancient battle, where two sides will push each other. So exciting! And then, the media gets too involved also. The best movie in Philippine history is on the rally news! So cool to see cameras get banged while filming the chaos. It looks real! (Damn you, its REAL!) And, if I can suggest a background song for these rallies, I would choose BODIES by Drowning Pool. (Listen to it!) My tagline "Hell just broke loose" is definitely an understatement.

During these rallies, everyone must participate. Because it will greatly affect their lives. If you ask a random rallyist about his/her experience, He/She will say extreme things, like guns shooting everywhere, police battering one's head, undefeated hoses splashes water all over the place, everyone running, panicking, getting stepped on, dragons breathing out fire and other crazy stuff. And most of the time, you can see all styles of rallying in a near-death rally. Some people are praying, some are shouting on the megaphone, some are walking (of course!) and most pedestrians and vehicles are not on the road (basta lang masama ang strike!) And eventually, a near-death rally doesn't end on a certain place. Loud politicians will open the topic on the congress. And countless rallyists will complain about police brutality, assault, etc.! Unbelievable. I actually included this in my long long long list of things to do before I die.

OK. I know a frequent rallyist will mock me to death because I enjoy these things. And honestly, I do, a little bit. But I want to learn from these rallies. I can see people fighting for what they deserve and believe in. They risk their lives for these actions, just to get the attention and hopefully, a SOLUTION. Well, its not really a permanent solution for everyone. But that's only what the common people can do because of democracy. They use their capabilities and rights to prove something.

What gets me wrong is the lack of unity and the involvement of money. I've heard some organizations pay people just to join the rally. That's pathetically sick. Way too sick for a person, a Filipino, who fought for his freedom. I can't say how awkward it is to discuss these KABULUKAN NG LIPUNAN in my blog but I think to give you a glimpse of reality is wise enough for you, my readers, to reflect on yourselves.

I hope my blog entry/masterpiece will stick to your freakishly hardcore minds (kidding!). Especially to those who plan to be active/already active in political affairs..
Hmmm.. A bit out of the topic.. I promise I'll promote Filipino workmanship next year on Labor day!
